US Air Force Academy Association of Graduates Names New

A retired US Air Force C-17 pilot with more than 20 years of experience, Charles Polomsky most recently served as chief of the 628 Air Base Wing Command Post in Charleston, South Carolina. Supplementing his military experience, Charles Polomsky is a member of the Air Force Academy Association of Graduates (AOG).

The AOG supports the US Air Force Academy (USAFA) in its mission of developing leaders of character and provides support services and resources for cadets and graduates. It is a partner organization of the US Air Force Academy Foundation, which has a similar mission. On May 1, 2020, Lt. Gen. (Ret.) Mike Gould '76 will take over as president and CEO of both organizations, at which time he will be the first person to concurrently serve both organizations in an executive capacity. Gould was a unanimous recommendation to both boards by the joint selection committee.

As a civilian, Gould serves on the boards of the Friends of the McDermott Library, Falcon Foundation, Goodwill Industries Colorado, and Children's Hospital Colorado. He also served as CEO of the USAFA Foundation. While an active duty member of the Air Force, he held roles such as USAFA superintendent and military aide to the president of the United States.
